Web Site Privacy Statement
|
The Cleveland Clinic is very interested in the privacy and safety of our visitors. Our Web site contains
forms through which users may request information or supply feedback to us. In some cases, telephone numbers
or return addresses are required so that we can supply requested information to you, and in other cases,
correct names and addresses are required to process credit card payments. We store your credit card number
in our database until your second opinion consult is complete. Once your consult is complete, we delete this
information. If you request an additional second opinion, then you will be asked to supply your credit card
information again.
We do not provide any information supplied on the Web form to any outside organization for any reason (other
than where we may be required by law, or as necessary to process credit card information). We also do Web traffic
analysis through which we track statistics such as which pages are visited in what order, where users come from,
and how long users spend on our site, but we never associate such information with specific identities.
We ask you to register on our site using a user ID and password in order to provide a secure environment for the
information you send to us. Once registered, your information is encrypted using 128-bit SSL encryption. If you
have any questions about our privacy policy or our use of information gathered through our Web site, please contact
the Cleveland Clinic MyConsult staff at eClevelandClinic@ccf.org.
